Before any of you get the wrong ideas about this blog, this is not going to be an interior decorating, cupcake-making, soul-searching, morning-routine-making blog. This blog is going to change the way you think about how you live your life in respect to money. This blog is going to help you (and I) to discover how being environmentally responsible and physically healthy improves not only your health and mental well-being, but also your wallets. Who doesn't want a little extra cash?! Here's the trick though...that extra cash isn't meant to be taken for a fun outing to "celebrate" our newly-attained saving powers. Want to know what REAL celebration is? Being debt free, owning a home that is paid off, being wisely invested, and maybe even retiring earlier than the average American. THAT is something worth celebrating. Being tied down to credit card, home mortgage, and auto loans every month is NOT something worth celebrating, and it can be almost entirely avoided if you play your "cash" right and start setting goals and making plans NOW. Yes, now. You can start doing these things in high school, and most importantly, in college. Keep in mind, "Bad debt is sacrificing your future needs for your present day desires." ~Suze Orman.
