Here is your promised and anticipated Sunday post! The company I want to feature today is Melaleuca. My lovely Aunt got me hooked on this company and I have almost become obsessed with it (no compensate for this statement...I willing advertise for free because I love it so much!). When my Aunt first told me about the company, I was a little skeptical because usually eco-friendly "green" companies are really expensive and totally out of reach financially, but this one is NOT. There is a slight catch for that, though. If you want to get the really excellent prices on everything for this company, you have to become a member and commit to spending $60 a month. However, there's a really easy solution for that...simply get some friends in on it with you and each of you spend $10 or $20 a month!
One of the things that I love the most about this company (besides the great savings) is that they are trying to be a little more economical with the way that they make and produce their products. For instance, the dish soap they sell (one of my MOST favorites) is highly concentrated which cuts down on shipping costs since they are not shipping excess water, and it also cuts down on production costs. Their laundry detergent is the same way, something else that I love, but one of the pricier things (even with the discount of being a loyalty member), so I don't usually buy it.
Some of the products I would highly recommend are:
Their Dish Soap. I've been using this for over a year now, and I'm never going back to anything else.
Their Toothpaste. I have really sensitive teeth, and this is one of the only kinds of toothpaste I've found, even considering the "sensitive" options at the grocery store, that really doesn't make my mouth burn and that I trust the ingredients in. I don't even need to buy their "sensitive" brand..the regular one is perfect.
Finally, their Tough & Tender cleaner. I tend to cough a lot when using cleaners like Lysol and 409 (no surprises, they are pretty loaded with chemicals), and I do not have that problem with this cleaner! Not only does it smell nice, but your little ones could chew on the counter and there would be no worries to be had. :) Not only that, but ONE of these bottles of concentrate makes SIX bottles of the cleaner after it's mixed! Talk about saving plastic...you can save 4 plastic cleaner bottles by just buying this one (and the mixing spray bottle if you want to add that on).
I also really like their essential oils, but I know that not everyone is interested in those things. I think the Armor Oil is really great (the Melaleuca equivalent of DoTerra's OnGuard, but Melaleuca's is WAY more affordable and just as high of quality). I did a lot of research on this oil before buying it, and there are tons of studies and even videos on YouTube confirming some of its health benefits and sickness prevention benefits.
Anyway, I hope you look into this company, try it out, and end up loving it as much as I do! Remember: If you want the savings, get some friends in on it with you and become a loyalty member...that's really the way to go.
We have such an incredibly beautiful planet, and it really is our responsibility to take care of it. Not only can we do that by supporting companies like these, but we also have another MAJOR way we can do that....and those stats are going to be shocking in next week's post (no, I am not going to discuss global warming, driving your cars less, or even reducing your plastic usage). Want to know what you are unconsciously doing that's costing you lots of money and also is tough on our awesome earth? Tune in....I'll tell you. :) See you next Sunday!
